Contributions to the Journal

The Society would welcome the submission of articles on any aspect of the history of the old county of Flint for inclusion in the Society's Journal.

Books relevant to the Society are reviewed and publishers and authors are encouraged to submit books for review.

Articles within the Journal must follow the house-style. The Journal uses footnotes as opposed to end-notes, and not the in-line Harvard system. Bibliographies can be referenced through the footnotes. To ensure consistency in bibliographies it is requested that the author is listed first, by their initials followed by their surname. The title of the book should be in italics, followed by the place and date of publication, and the specific page reference. The title of an article in a journal should be in quotation marks, followed by the italicised, abbreviated, name of the journal. Original manuscript material should list the place of deposit, the collection and the specific document reference. Please consult the following examples:
